Josiah and Mary's house as it stands today, in Donhead St. Mary.

The land that Josiah leased in 1825 had a house (left), (work)shop (right, now a house) and gardens. By the 1840's tithe map he is listed as the land owner.

Josiah leased the land in 1825 from Lord Arundell (see seperate Indenture).

The current owners kindly shared their knowledge of the house, and that they had found the names of the Hayter family written on one of the old walls in the atic.
